To boldly go...

Still in Arizona but it isn't all cacti and jackrabbits. Today Justin Willy and I went to the Phoenix science center for their Stsr Trek exhibit. Here you can see us on the transporter deck "materializing". Actually they took our picture and one option was the lenticular format which changes depending on the angle of the picture. Heading back to my foggy home by the bay tomorrow. I really miss home though visiting Justins family in Arizona has been great. More pictures once I get home and download. :)

I have wanted a pair of Frye Harness Boots for a while. they are gorgeous boots (in my opinion) look like they kick butt when worn with jeans, but look just as awesome with tights and a skirt or dress.
I have seriously wanted a pair for a long time. So last weekend I was helping my neighbor Samantha have a yard sale since she was moving to Istanbul. Here was something like how it went:

Me (internal comment): Are those boots? Those can't be for the yard sale.
Me (aloud): Samantha are these for the yard sale?
Samantha: Yep!
Me (internally): Wow, those are great they look like Frye harness boots but I bet they aren't Frye's.
(Checks tag and logo inside)
OMG. They are Fryes! These are awesome! They cannot possibly be my size
Me(aloud): Samantha, what size are these?
Me (internally): pleasebesize7, pleasebesize7, pleasebesize....
Samantha: They're size 7.
Me *GASP* (trying to sound cool): Um....how much do you want for them?
Samantha: Uh....$20?

And that, my friends,. was how I came to own an awesome pair of $228 boots for $20. They are a tiny bit scuffed, but with these boots wear only adds to their beauty. They have a nice square toe box so there is room and they are fantastic. I have worn them to work twice. I can ear them for my walk to work and there is no problem.  Love. These. Boots! :)
