It's true.
We had a small quake just a while ago. Technically, it was a magnitude 4.0 over in Alamo, but we felt a strong quick shake here. Where was I? In the tub of course, enjoying a nice hot bath.
I hopped out and asked Justin what fell. Some mailing tubes and small odds and ends, Everything we had secured with Museum Putty had stayed in place. Very strange sensation. I would like to say this is the strongest I have felt, but according to Justin we have had one just like this before, and I slept right through it. He and the dog woke up and looked at each other; I just snoozed on.
The quake tonight was a bit disconcerting. First I thought a large truck had struck the building, but almost immediately realized it was a quake. That's just California though. You should never be complacent about it, but it's also something you can't freak out over. It's good we have smaller quakes, as they release pressure which would have made a larger more dangerous quake later. Just part of life here and you take the good with the bad, even if naked.
