Ok, yes, my DSL connection sucks so I can't upload pictures easily and yes, work has been SLAMMED and yes, I had company, but c'mon, that is no reason to ignore the 6 people who still check this site about once a month. :P Yes, that means you too Mom. :D
Anyway, first off I have to say the BIGGEST YAY to my friends Shun and Neysa upon the news that they are expecting their first child. As I do not know the sex (and don't know if they will find out for 8 more months) I am calling the little zygote The Koizumi Baby Project. I am so happy for them and cannot wait to play doting Aunt.
Next, sadly, our friend Roger Prince has announced that he will be retiring. What this means is that there may not be any more Mid-Ohio-Cons. Roger MAY be able to find a purchaser for the show though (you know anyone who wants to buy a comic book and pop culture convention, lemme know, I'll put them in touch). Still it will never be the same, but I understand Roger's choice. Justin and I met at his comic book convention and it will always have a special place in my heart, just like Roger and his lovely wife Jane. Awesome folks!
San Francisco continues to be cool, overcast and rainy. I carry my clear bubble umbrella Mom and Dad gave me for Christmas everyday. I specifically asked for it because I loved the movie Lost in Translation and it reminded me of the umbrella Charlotte carries around Tokyo. I have noticed here that when you have a bubble umbrella over your head and you are walking in the rain, strangers smile a lot.
Lastly, GUESS WHO got an invitation to the MAC (cosmetics) Fafi Collection Launch party at the MAC store on Union Street?!? Yep, I am SO excited! It's going to be a lot of fun and it's Sunday, Feb 10th, after the store closes, three days before the product line officially goes on sale. My friend Anissa is coming with me and we are going to get to see the product and have our make up done and get to buy the items we like before it goes on sale on the 13th. Will see if I can take pictures with bluffing about my "beauty blogger" credentials. :)
OH! Really LAST thing, see Cloverfield! No spoilers, but I really enjoyed it! Great monster movie but be prepared for the shaky camera (it is a little handi-cam folks). It was a fun film though and I loved seeing the Hellboy: the Golden Army preview before it.
Ok, my ankles are wet and cold from the dog walk we took (attempted to take) Brodie on a little while ago. He hated the rain and we just ran a few blocks then ran home, half soaked and cold. Our warm little apartment was never nicer!
More soon folks! Going to upgrade to Comcast high speed internet so will attempt to blog and post pictures. Will attempt to upgrade witty monologue posts, but unlikely I can find any striking Writer's Guild writers to blog for me.
